How Many Washes Are in a 250 ml Bottle of Laundry Perfume?
A 250 ml bottle of Love for Laundry provides approximately 50 washes at 5 ml per wash, or 25 washes at 10 ml per wash. The number depends on the dose you measure, rather than the number of garments in a load.
Calculate how far a bottle goes
Divide the bottle volume by your dose: bottle size in ml ÷ ml per wash = number of washes.
- 250 ml ÷ 5 ml = 50 washes.
- 250 ml ÷ 7.5 ml = approximately 33 washes.
- 250 ml ÷ 10 ml = 25 washes.
These calculations assume the full contents can be measured out without spillage. Actual use may vary slightly.
Calculate your cost per wash
Divide the price you paid for the bottle by the number of washes. For example, if a 250 ml bottle costs £16.99, that is approximately 34p per wash at 5 ml, or 68p at 10 ml. This is an illustrative calculation, not a fixed price for every fragrance. Check the product page for the current price.
The calculation covers perfume only. Detergent, water, electricity and delivery are separate. If you buy a discounted bundle, use the actual price per bottle after the discount.
Which dose should I choose?
Follow the directions on your bottle. Within the recommended 5–10 ml range, start lower if you prefer a lighter fragrance. Measure the dose so you can repeat a result you enjoy. Do not assume a capful is a particular volume unless the packaging says so.
Does more perfume mean cleaner washing?
No. Laundry perfume adds fragrance; detergent does the cleaning. Increasing fragrance is not a solution for a dirty machine, an overloaded drum or washing that dries too slowly.
