How Long Does Laundry Perfume Last? Fragrance and Micro-Encapsulation

Love for Laundry fragrance can last for up to 12 weeks in storage. That describes stored laundry, rather than a guarantee that clothes will smell equally strong through 12 weeks of wear or repeated washing. Fabric, dose, drying and storage all affect the result.

What is micro-encapsulation?

Micro-encapsulation holds fragrance in tiny capsules. In our laundry perfume, this helps fragrance remain available on the fabric and be released again through movement, friction and use. You may notice the scent again when pulling on a jumper, unfolding a towel or making the bed.

Why does the scent seem stronger at some moments?

A fragrance is not always equally noticeable. The way you handle fabric, the room around you and your familiarity with a smell can all change the experience. A stored item and an item being worn are also exposed to different conditions.

What does “up to 12 weeks” mean?

It is an upper-duration claim for fragrance in storage, not a fixed result for every wash. Store only fully dry laundry in a clean, dry cupboard. Fragrance does not make damp laundry suitable for storage, and it does not replace washing.

How can I compare results fairly?

  1. Choose one fragrance and measure a dose within the 5–10 ml directions.
  2. Use similar fabrics and avoid changing several wash products at once.
  3. Follow the care label for washing and drying.
  4. Notice the scent once dry and again when wearing or using the item.

Does long-lasting fragrance mean the washing is clean?

No. Scent and cleaning are different jobs. Use detergent as directed and follow a suitable wash programme. Laundry perfume adds fragrance to that routine.
