Why Doesn't My Laundry Smell Strong? 5 Easy Fixes
A faint fragrance does not always mean you need more laundry perfume. Check the dose, the drawer, the load and the drying routine first. If the washing smells musty rather than simply lightly scented, investigate the washing and drying process before adding fragrance.
1. Measure the recommended dose
Use 5–10 ml of Love for Laundry per wash, following your bottle's directions. Start at the lower end for a lighter scent and use up to 10 ml for a fuller result. Avoid repeatedly increasing the amount beyond the label's instructions.
2. Check the right compartment
Laundry perfume belongs in the fabric softener compartment, usually marked with a flower. Detergent goes separately in its normal place. A blocked or dirty drawer can affect dispensing: clean it as instructed in your machine manual.
3. Give the washing room to move
Follow the load limit for the programme and fabric type. A drum that is too full can make washing and rinsing less effective. Shake the perfume bottle before measuring and use a consistent dose when comparing results.
4. Review drying and other fragrances
Remove washing promptly and dry it fully before putting it away. Drying temperature and method can change how a scent comes across. Strongly scented detergent or softener can also alter the overall fragrance. Compare one change at a time so you can tell what helps.
5. Notice the fragrance during use
Our micro-encapsulated formula can release fragrance again as fabric moves and is used. You may notice it at different times when wearing clothes or making the bed. The strength experienced varies by fabric, scent, dose and personal preference.
